Use STUN (recommended)

STUN helps you and your friends find each other over the internet. Your video never goes through it. Leave it on.

If someone can't connect:

Check that both of you have Use STUN turned on.
If your computer asks whether Direct Share or your browser may accept incoming connections, allow it.
Still stuck? Some networks (work, school, some mobile carriers) block direct connections. Try another one, like home Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot.

Add a viewer and exchange codes (Discord or somewhere else).
Start a capture and adjust the bitrate to give yourself room, e.g. only upload at half your max upload speed and divide that by the amount of viewers.
Change other settings as needed.

Volume, maximize and fullscreen controls at the bottom right. You can turn off the connection info there too.
Hotkeys:
- M for maximize
- F for fullscreen
- Escape for escape

The program should send the sound from the window you picked. Sharing the full screen doesn't send any sound. Windows: needs Windows 10 or better.

Sound only works on Chromium browsers and only for sending the sound from a specific tab. Firefox can't send sound.

Make sure you allowed incoming connections in the firewall.
Click the Network button and check if STUN is on. If it's on and broken, try going into Advanced and setting up the direct IP connection instead.
