Settings

Check your speed, then set this to 50-75% of your upload speed divided by how many people are watching.

Viewers

Add a viewer to get an invite code for them. Each viewer adds about one bitrate's worth to your upload.

Network

STUN helps you and your friends find each other over the internet. Your video never goes through it. Leave it on.

If someone can't connect:

  1. Check that both of you have Use STUN turned on.
  2. If your computer asks whether Direct Share or your browser may accept incoming connections, allow it.
  3. Still stuck? Some networks (work, school, some mobile carriers) block direct connections. Try another one, like home Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot.

How to stream

  1. Add a viewer and exchange codes (Discord or somewhere else).
  2. Start a capture and adjust the bitrate (under Settings) to give yourself room, e.g. only upload at 50-75% of your max upload speed and divide that by the amount of viewers.
  3. Change other settings as needed.

Codes have your IP address in them, only send them to those you trust!

  1. Click Watch and paste the host code, then send back the reply code.

Sound as a streamer

Dedicated program

The program should send the sound from the window you picked or everything on the computer if you pick the full screen... this will echo back Discord though so I wouldn't use that unless you're not on a call. Windows: needs Windows 10 or better. Linux: pick the app next to Sound instead, or All apps.

Website

Sound only works on Chromium browsers and only for sending the sound from a specific tab. Firefox can't send sound.
